Samenvatting

On October 15th 2010 the international conference ‘Dutch standard conditions: a view from abroad’ took place in Amsterdam organised by the European Society for Construction Law (ESCL) and the Dutch Institute for Construction Law. The members of the ESCL commented on two sets of general conditions: the Uniform Administrative Condtions for Integrated Contracts 2005 (design-build/turn key) including the variations to the model made by Prorail, and the Design, Build, Finance and Maintain Standard from the Dutch government, July 2009. These comments give an idea of how the international construction law community looks at these models and also give an idea how this community looks upon the underlying principles of these models.

Besides these comments this book contains views from three Ministries, two important publications on the DBFM model as well as the sheets containing the outcome of the discussions held during the conference.
